My inspirations come from a wide variety of sources: a walk in the woods on a crisp autumn day or on the beach on a hot, hazy summer day; a piece of exquisite fabric; a painting; an old photograph; a flower or a bird. The source may vary but the important presence of color and beauty never does.

Long before glitter pens came along, I used to spread Elmer’s glue with a toothpick onto the dresses I had colored and cut out for my paper dolls and then I would sprinkle brightly colored glitter onto the glue from a jar. I can only imagine the mess I made, but at least my “girls’” clothes had the sparkle I craved.
